At Hippe Girls, we value the satisfaction of all our customers. If you are not satisfied with anything, please contact us. We would like the opportunity to address any dissatisfaction.

We are available weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you cannot reach us immediately, we will contact you as soon as possible. We strive to respond to emails the same business day, but sometimes it may take a little longer due to busyness.

Shipping costs?

How much are the shipping costs within the Netherlands? Within the Netherlands, shipping costs vary depending on the type of shipping. For mailbox post the costs are €2.49 or €2.99 (all-in rate including envelope, postage and VAT). For letterbox parcels with track and trace the cost is €3.99, and for parcel post with track and trace the cost is €5.99. Orders with a value above €50 will be shipped for free by Hippe Girls. If you choose to pick up your order at a POSTNL location, shipping is free from €60 (for parcel post only).

What are the shipping costs to Belgium? To Belgium, packaging and shipping costs are €5.99. As of January 1, 2020, it is no longer possible to send goods to countries outside the Netherlands as letter post. This must always be done as parcel post. We like to send our packages with track and trace, the cost for this is €13 for parcel post to Belgium. For orders with a value above €60 no shipping costs will be charged by Hippe Girls.

When will my order be shipped?

In principle, if your order is placed and paid before 3 p.m., it will be shipped the same business day. During busy periods, this can happen one day later at the latest.

Netherlands: Orders within the Netherlands are usually delivered within 1-2 business days. Please note that if you place an order on Saturday, it will be delivered on Tuesday. No regular mail is delivered by PostNL on Mondays.

Belgium: Orders shipped to Belgium are delivered within approximately 1-3 business days.

Germany: Orders shipped to Germany will be delivered within approximately 1-3 business days.

France: Orders shipped to France will be delivered within 1-3 business days.

During holidays, no mail is delivered and no mail is processed. Please also allow for additional delays during these holidays. During the month of December the delivery time is always slightly longer, especially to Belgium. Please keep this in mind, as unfortunately this process cannot be accelerated. Unfortunately we have no influence on the delivery speed of our postal services.

Pre-order?

What is a pre-order: Pre-order is when you order something that is not yet on sale. You reserve the product before it is available. It is convenient this way to order something popular before it sells out.

With a pre-order, the order will be shipped as soon as the item(s) you ordered as pre-order arrives. If you prefer to receive the order in two parts, please contact us and we will see what we can do for you.

Can I also pick up my order?

Yes, you can. While ordering you can choose pickup and payment.

Once we have packed the order you will receive an email. In this email we ask you when you want to pick up the order. We will let you know a.s.a.p. if the proposed day and time are possible.

Discount codes?

I forgot to enter my discount code. It is administratively impossible for us to add the discount code to your order afterwards. If you are unable to use the discount code, always contact us before completing your order.

My promotional code is not working. There can be several reasons why a discount code is not working. Check if you entered the code correctly (upper/lower case). Perhaps the promotional code has expired or a particular item is excluded from the promotion. If you are unclear, you can always contact us. Make sure you have not completed your order yet, as we cannot add the discount code after the payment has been completed.

Can I use multiple promotional codes at the same time? No, it is not possible to use multiple promotional codes at the same time. You can participate in one action per order. Combining multiple actions is not possible.

Silver, fading and maintenance

The bars of the earrings sometimes turn black. How is this possible? The bars of silver earrings can sometimes turn black as a reaction to the natural oils your skin produces. The extent to which silver reacts with these substances depends on factors such as your diet, alcohol consumption and use of medications. These can affect the acidity of your skin and cause a reaction. Sweat, which contains ammonia, can also increase the acidity of the skin and cause oxidation of the silver.

Tips against silver jewelry blackening:
Take off your silver jewelry when you perspire heavily, such as during a fever or intense exercise. Make sure your silver jewelry does not come into contact with substances containing sulfur. Remove silver jewelry during activities such as swimming, cleaning (detergents are harmful), hand washing and contact with seawater. Maintain your jewelry with the products available on our website.
Is the jewelry real if it turns black?
Turning silver jewelry black is actually a sign that it is real. Other (precious) metals oxidize in a different way. Discoloration (blackening) can occur in silver jewelry of all grades.

Surgical steel earrings with screw closure don't fit?

Surgical earrings with a screw closure do not have a tip at the end of the rod. At the end of the rod is a piece of thread.

If kids don't have earrings for very long or they have had them in for a long time, it can happen that when taking the earring out, the hole immediately swells. This makes it difficult to insert the earring and can also be extra sensitive. The screw thread comes against the swollen skin and this can be painful. Often it already helps to put a cold cloth, an ice cube, some antisept on the earlobe. Some clients use a little Vaseline so that the earring can be placed more easily and quickly. Copper

Copper is often used in jewelry and is known as a semiprecious metal. This means that the material reacts to air and moisture, resulting in oxidation. This can cause copper to darken in color. Our jewelry is still extra plated gold/silver. A tip for keeping gold-plated (gold/white gold 14k) jewelry beautiful longer, apply a coat of clear nail polish. This will keep the jewelry protected and thus beautiful longer!
